From where are your artists?
Our artists come from different parts of the world, Canada, US, China and Philippines.  Majority of them works out of our Asian studios and some individual artists in the US and Canada as well.   They have about 7 years of experience as masters in oil painting.


About The Oil Paintings

Do you sell prints?
We do not sell prints.  We only do 100% handmade oil paintings, hand painted by experienced artists.  We do not use any pressing or technological methods on our paintings.

Will your artist sign the painting?
Most of our contemporary and impressionism paintings have signatures.  But for famous paintings and portrait paintings, you can inform us not to sign it.

What's the biggest size that I can order?
As you'll see on our site, our largest paintings are 120x90cm.  But if you prefer bigger than that, just let us know and we can do that for you.  We do not have a limit especially if it will be delivered to you unframed rolled in a tube.

Can do a portrait  from a photo?
Absolutely, that is one of our specialties.  We have artists who specialize in portrait paintings.  We will give you closest to the original oil paintings from photos.

Will the paintings I ordered look like the same with the pictures shown on your website?
All the pictures we uploaded on our website are the taken from our oil paintings that we have done. The pictures truly look like the actual artworks by our talented artists.

Can I order paintings which are not displayed on your website?

Will I see the painting before you ship it?
Of course, we aim for perfection. We email photo of the finished painting for approval to a client.  Should the client wants revisions, we accommodate requests.  But for the in stock paintings, we ship it immediately after processing the order and the painting. 

How can you sell oil paintings at a very low price?
We eliminate middleman on all our sales – you are purchasing directly from us so there are no additional overhead expenses.

The painting I want has a different size ratio than specified on your site.  Do you adjust painting to fit that size?
The sizes on our site are only as a general guideline and we are aware that those are not suitable for some of the paintings.  In those cases, we recommend to the customer changes in the size or we can alter (add or delete) some parts of the painting so it will fit to a required size.    All of these will be for client’s approval.  We will not start a painting unless approved by the client

Can we use 2 or more photos to be combined into one portrait painting? 
We can merge several photos into one.  We will create a mock up photo for your approval first and then when approved, we will start the portrait.   You can also remove some details from a photo as well to create a perfect portrait for you.

About Shipping

What is the delivery timeframe?
This really depends on your order.   We have in stock contemporary and impressionism paintings and for the rest of our oil paintings, we have to paint it for you.   For in stock paintings, it will be shipped to you within 3 to 5 days upon receipt of your order and payment.  And for those we have to paint, it will take 14 to 25 days to finish your painting.  It will be sent to you upon your approval.    The number of days to arrive to your mailing address depends upon the country you are in – normally 5 to 7 days.  You will be given the tracking number of the package so you can track the status of your order.

What do I pay for shipping?
Shipping is free to anywhere in the world. If you are a wholesale customer, we have different options if you wish to buy in bulk.   Local custom fees and charges (if there is) will not be shouldered by Paintings Galore.

I live outside US and Canada, is the shipping still free?
Yes. The shipping charges are included in our painting's price to any location in the world that FedEx, UPS,  DHL or EMS can deliver to.

 How do you ship paintings?
 We only use reputable carriers like FedEx, DHL or UPS. We ship unframed paintings in a protective, hard plastic tube.

Are the paintings delivered framed or unframed?
You can choose if you want unframed or in gallery wrap (ready to hang) frame.  To make sure that the paintings are protected very well during the shipping process, we use bubble and plastic tubes which are specially designed for shipping oil paintings.

What if my painting got damaged during shipping?
In the very rare case that your painting or frame arrives damaged, please refuse the delivery so we can receive the package back from the shipping company and claim the insurance funds.   We will then paint a new painting for you for free and will ship it to you within 14 to 25 days, and earlier if the painting is in stock.   This extremely rare circumstance does not constitute a reason for a refund as the damage is the responsibility of the shipping company and as we will paint for you a new painting for absolutely free.

How sturdy is your packaging?
We want you to receive your painting in the perfect condition.  So, your order will be wrapped in light plastic and then placed in a very durable plastic tube for protection. Framed paintings will be sent in a specially designed packaging box.

Who will pay custom fees or taxes?
International shipping is free, but this does not include applicable import duties or taxes that are due to the destination country.   Should the destination country imposes import duties and/or taxes, the customer will be responsible for the payment.   The good news is, the vast majority of our customers (about 99.5%) do not have to pay any such charges, with the exceptions being those in Italy (occasionally) and in Australia, where some have to pay a quarantine inspection charge.


About Payment

How can I pay for my painting?
You can pay for your painting with via PayPal, credit card, Payoneer or Western Union. 

When do I have to pay for the painting?
Payment should be made in full at the time of ordering (except for some bulk buyers). There are several reasons for this:
1.    On some occasions, we are unable to accept a customer's credit card for some reasons, possibly due to bank error or the card failing approval.  So before beginning painting or sending in stock painting out we need to verify that the payment has been received.
2.    We are painting specifically for you.  Example of this is a portrait painting - should your payment did not went through or left unpaid, that would already be a loss on our part since the painting will no longer be bought by any other people.
3.    And lastly, please take note that all online transactions work this way already; that payment is being made at the time the order is placed.  And as we have said, any purchase with Paintings Galore is covered by a money back guarantee, so your money will never be at risk.

Can I return a painting?
Yes, you can return paintings withinn 7 days after receipt and with a valid reason.  On our experience, we rarely receive this request because we send photos of finished paintings on email for approval to the clients (aside from our in stock paintings).  You may ask for revisions until the painting meets your expectations.  NOTE:  If paintings are damaged when you receive them please let us know immediately. From time to time parcels are damaged during shipping, and when that is the case we replace the painting.  If returning a painting please ensure it is packed the same way as you received it.

How do I return a painting?
 You have to contact us to give us the reason of return before sending back a painting and please wait for our instructions.   Half of the actual shipping cost (one way only) will be deducted from the refund. Returned merchandise must be wrapped & packed in the original tube and send to the address that we will provide you.

How much discount do I get as a wholesale buyer?
We definitely give discounts and it depends on the number of oil painting being bought.  For more information please contact us.

Do you have minimum purchase requirement?
You can purchase as little as only one painting to as many as you require.  We, however give discounts on volume orders.
